A Happy Week!

It's been a very busy but good week!

Carter James arrived on Tues., Oct. 21, 2008. He weighed 6 lbs. 9 1/2 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. It was a very fast delivery!!! I got the call while at Adventure Club just before 5 o'clock. I told Stephen (he's in the Adventure Club program were I work) to get his "stuff" so we could go see our new baby. He was putting things away and getting his backpack and asking questions all at the same time. In about 5 minutes we were in the car and on our way. It's hard to say who was more excited!
Once we got to the hospital it was only about 30 minutes before I got a phone call from Jonathan telling us that Carrie and Carter were both doing fine. It was wonderful getting to hold Carter for the 1st time. Oh my, there is nothing so sweet as having grandchildren.

Jessica just couldn't stand not being able to see Carter so she called Thursday and said she would be leaving Arkansas around noon on her way to Kansas City. Between Stephen and Carter, she has throughly enjoyed her role as "Aunt Jessy" the last couple of days.

Next week on the 29th, Joe Nathan will celebrate his 26th birthday. We will be having a birthday dinner tomorrow so that Jess will be here to share that with us as well. You know---I look at tiny Carter and then at my grown Joe Nathan and I am amazed at how time flies.

Busy, busy but oh so blessed! I have been blessed beyond measure by such an amazing Heavenly Father!
