A Wonderful Weekend in Oklahoma

Just made it back to Kansas City this afternoon after spending a great weekend in Hochatown, Oklahoma scrapbooking with 9 of my friends from the K.C. area. The weather was WONDERFUL and we had such a great time.

Jessica came over from her home in Arkansas to spend a couple of evenings with us. She was in and out because she was busy with softball games over the weekend. Who would have ever thought this time a year ago that she would be coaching her daughter's softball team. God is always full of wonderful surprises!!!

I should have 3 new kits available later this week. I have the originals done---I just need to get them copied and packaged. I'll send out an email as soon as I have them posted here on my blog.

Superkid - Designed by Diane Kelly

I've include precut letters so that this layout can be titled "Super kid" or Super dad". These photos were taken of Stephen in Jan. '09. The Superman suit he's wearing, I made in Oct. '79 for his daddy, Jonathan. I journaled the story of the suit and included a couple small photos of Jonathan wearing it. Oh, the memories----that's why we scrapbook!!! Please, think outside the box for this layout. I know most of you probably don't have an almost 30 yr. old Superman suit tucked away somewhere. I think a Superman t-shirt would work while maybe reading a Superman book or playing with a Superman toy. A Super dad wouldn't need a "costume" at all.

Fright Night (2) - Designed by Diane Kelly

Title is printed on white cardstock. You just need to cut them out leaving a small white border and then adhere them to black cardstock and cut out again leaving a black border to give them the "shadowed" effect. The ghosts are created out of vellum to give them that "see through" look. =) You may notice that Jessica has a "Fright Night" kit using the same pattern paper-----well, I found a bag of the remains from those kits and designed another using the same product plus added a little extra. Because of the way this layout came about, I was only able to package 9 kits. So if you want one don't wait too long.
