Hope all of you had a great weekend. I enjoyed mine but am still trying to figure out how in the world it came and went to fast. I was "busy" the entire time but don't feel that I accomplished much. Thank goodness I did get my bills all paid---------well, if you call hauling the envelopes around in my car for 2 days "done". I've GOT to get to the post office and get some stamps. I didn't buy extra stamps because of the postage increase that took place earlier this month so now I'm even behind on that. =)
I spent a good part of Saturday and Sunday looking at houses with Joe Nathan (my 26 year old middle son----3rd child but middle son). He's looking to buy his first home so that he can get out of his downtown Kansas City apartment. I'm excited for him because I know he'll enjoy being closer to his two nephews ----and his moma. He'll tell you that he's a "moma's boy" and I'm here to tell you that it doesn't upset me at all for it to be that way.
Jessica will be back up this weekend for a few days to prepare for the summer. She's going to come back in June and work for the North Kansas City School District's Summer Adventure Club Program (school age childcare) through July. Jess worked for NKCSD 10 years before moving to S.E. Oklahoma a couple of years ago which led to her meeting an Arkansas guy that became her husband shortly afterwards. She will be very busy between working here and checking in with family in Arkansas. It's a good thing that she's always enjoyed being on the road!
Jeremiah, my 20 year old and my youngest, has found a young lady that seems to make him very happy. He's trying to make plans for all of us to meet her----I'm sure Jess will see that it happens when she's here this weekend. He's back in Kansas City but so busy that he tends to just drop in and out most of the time. He's my nomad son. Joe Nathan says he thinks Jeremiah may get that from me------maybe I've shared too many stories from my youthful days. =)
Jonathan, Carrie, Stephen, and little Carter are a very busy little family. Stephen started his week long football camp this afternoon. Football camp for kindergarters------gee! Carter will be 7 months old this week. Those 7 months have just flown by. He is the sweetest thing ever. His excitement when he sees me just melts my heart! Being a MeMa is just amazing!
In between paying bills, looking at houses, watching Carter, church, looking at more houses, and watching Carter (again) and Stephen -- I did get one layout done! =) It's titled "Rock Star" but the title can easily be changed to broaden it's use. I actually posted it last night but didn't get any emails sent out until now. I hope that it will be just the layout that some of you are needing for some of those photos that you've taken and so desperately need to get scrapped! =)
Oh, yes, yes, yes! I want to thank those of you that have taken the time to not only stop by and visit my blog but also took the time to leave a "comment". I really do appreciate you guys. I am so blessed by each of you. I am touched by each "visit" and by all the wonderful emails, comments, & encouraging words that you send my way. God has placed some super people in my life and MANY of them happen to love scrapbooking! He does the neatest things, doesn't He?
Take the time to enjoy His presence this week and upcoming holiday weekend! I know it will be busy and many of you will be blessed by the company of loved ones-----make sure you capture those memories with your camera!
God bless,
Diane

Diane,
I really enjoy the kits you make. They are simple, yet very eligant when finished. You always find ways to use many of my photos that other kits don't allow.
I miss coming to your crops. When my life slows down, I hope to get back to them!
Take care,

Love the new layouts. Going to have to order the music one for pictures from Ally's recent Orchestra concert. It will be perfect for them!
